By William Hanley III this is a terrible razor it is a mass manufactured piece of crap I bought it for my cousin to improve his stropping technique and to introduce him to straight shaves. after one shave the blade was spent the rivet is super loose and the blade is not centered in the handle so every time you close it you are dulling the blade the only thing I would recommend this for is to practice stropping or to display with the label side down. DO NOT BUY TO SHAVE WITH

By Clarence E. Royce OK I Just Got My New Kriegar Straight Razor And Its A Beaut With One Little Problem?..........
THE BLADE ISN'T SHARP PERIOD!.
Judging from the earlier reviews I'm reading it would seem that this is probably due to a hit and miss deal in their mass production.
It looks like some people are getting a sharper blade then others?????.
Now my Razor wasn't ready to shave either right out of the box but it was say Half Sharp so I was half way there and I figured that was a good start.
So after a LOTTA work with different stones, A fine steel hone and a LOTTA stropping I can shave with it tho I figure mebbe another 10days work to really get the blade right.
Basically this appears to be a Chinese Knock off copy of an old time German type straight razor.
As far as being a Copy or Relic Item, it's 100per@ O.K. but unless you want a Lotta hard work getting the blade in shape I'd pass on this little item........
In Its Basic Form It's Not A Shaving Tool Tho Like A Lotta Chinese Made Stuff It Is Getting A LOT Closer.
To those of you who are thinking of getting one of these and thinking of sending it out to get it sharpened FORGET IT.
A LOT of Smiths and Polishers will -flatly refuse- to touch these cheap Chinese, Pakistani or Indian Blades.
And BELIEVE me your corner 'Knife Grinder' with his little grinding wheel doesn't 'cut it' here as its GONNA take a LOT of hand work with a 'Good Stone' to get this boy ready!.
So unless you have the Skills/Tools to do this work yourself I'd forget it.
In fact judging from all the people who are getting these dull razors I'd think I'd pass on buying ANY straight razor unless that razor is certified as Shave Ready and the smaller shops (Not Amazon) are really a better place to shop for these.
The REALLY sad thing here is if the Chinese Builders had put just a mite more effort into sharpening the Blade they'd have a creditable item.
I once long ago had a Fromm and it also took about 10days work to get the blade right but that was long, long ago..
Now me I'll polish my Krieger and use it for an occasional trim job but use my Gillette adjustable for the real and close shaving jobs.
As Gillette Works period.......
Nuff Said.

By ben WASTE OF MONEY. it is not a straight razor it is a plastic handle toy feeling knife. I would not and will not waste my money with this company again. I would not have bought the "razor" had I known it had a cheap plastic handle and was not even close to being sharp or for that matter able to be sharpened easily for shaving. DON'T BY THIS that is my advice to anyone please read the reviews not the company hype. I know I wish I had.

By engel this is my first straight razor an i gotta say that i am pleased with the purchase. i was not expecting it to be the best quality thing for the price, but it turned out good. use a strop to sharpen it and it get the job done. it also relatively durable, over the 6 or so months i have owned this razor, i have dropped it at least 4 time (dont know it that is alot or not but i consider it to be), and it has not loosened the blade up at all. handles good cause it has no wood or metal to rot or rust behind your back, could probably guarantee another 6 months before i do something stupid and break it. dont know if i lucked out on the quality of the razor or im doing something right in keeping it in good shape (doubt that though) this one works good and thats fine by me.
