Nice look, rough shave!May 14, 2011

I remember when this razor came out and I used it back then, but I improved my razor choice as the products got better. I was using the Fusion Pro Glide for a bit, but the blade prices for it and the regular Fusion were ridiculous, and because the Mach 3 didn't have a trimming edge for the sideburns and under your nose I decided to try this Sensor Excel out due to it's thin profile. It can get the hairs just up to my nose and do my sideburns fine, but the overall shave is not very comfortable and nicks and cuts happen often. I don't shave fast and I find that even if I take small strokes and rinse after each one, I still tend to get cuts and irritation. This isn't much better than a disposable Bic razor. I guess just like every other thing in life, you get what you pay for.
I will say I miss the trimming edge of the Fusion series because they are excellent for grooming facial hair but they just cost too much. A couple good alternatives are the Mach 3 disposables, and my new slightly affordable favorite, the Schick Hydro 5. Hope this helps.

Just like originalFeb 20, 2011
By Richard K. Mcquady Original Trac II as advertised. Blades are much cheaper than more recent models and commonly available. The two blade Trac II is good enough for me.

Gillette Sensor -- three blades are good!Feb 12, 2011
By Quisp500 I have been using this razor for years and am still satisfied. Works well with shave gel and very well with shave oil. Use it carefully, and you can get a close shave with a minimum of nicks/cuts.

My husband loves this razor. He had this razor from the first time it came out. When we moved, somewhere and somehow we lost his grooming pouch so then he tried every razor out there now and did'nt really take to none so that started the search to no luck untill I found it on here AMAZON. Now its all he uses...
Gillette Sensor Excel Razor with 2 refill cartridgesSep 05, 2011
By Bill Although I have not used this razor yet, I have been using the same model for years. It shipped quickly and looks to be of the same Gillette quality that I have come to expect. I had attempted to buy this locally but was unable to find one in the local stores. Perhaps Gillette is phasing this model out. I was however able to find it on Amazon and at what I thought was a reasonable price. I always felt that this double blade razor was the best of all the razors. I can't imagine why three, four, or five blade razors have any advantage. It's a real convenience to be able to find a product and have it shipped quickly to my home. Amazon saves me a lot of time and the cost of gas for the car.
