I have changed my attitude about shaving from it being drudgery to a treat. It happened when I bought Trumper's Violet shaving soap. I've used other soaps, and usually return to the aerosols. I've been using Trumpers for months now, and will never go back to aerosols, or other soaps. If you ever consider the brush and bowl for shaving, you must try this soap. There is no equal, in my opinion. The soap lathers more quickly and thicker than any others I've tried, and it lasts far longer. The scent is unbelievable. It costs more, but I am sure there is a reason for it... it's worth it.

I purchased the Geo F. Trumper's rose shave soap refill along with a few other brands, to compare with the Col. Conk's amber shave soap (3.75 ounce), which i've been using. I found it to have a wonderful but too mild scent and it lathers great. I would definitely purchase this product again.

It smells great and creates a thick, smooth, and protective lather that doesn't dry the skin. The only thing I can compare it to is Wool Fat shaving soap, but it's not scented.

My favorite thing about this soap is the smell of roses that fills the whole room when I use it. On top of that, this is a world class, top of the line product. Let me tell you, "You really get what you pay for". This soap lathers extremely well and has a wonderful slickness about it that makes shaving a pleasure. I own many different shaving soaps from makers all over the world, but Trumpers Rose is my favorite. I'm sure it will be you favorite too.
