Best shave!!Aug 11, 2011

Excellent product!! Takes a little getting used to at first because I was tempted to apply too much; but use it as instructed, and don't expect it to cover your face the same way as foam or gel does, and the results are great. Much fewer nicks and cuts, and an overall more comfortable shave.

Overpriced, under-performing, possibly hippie smellingFeb 01, 2012
By GL When ascending the tiers of hygiene products, BB's Shave Cream comes up well short.
On the plus side, this stuff is WAY nicer and better than one-star pressure-can garbage from Gillette or Schick. That other stuff looks bad, feels bad, smells bad, and performs bad(ly). BB's at least smells nice and feels nice. Sadly, those are ancillary to the main purpose of any shaving cream: PERFORMANCE!
For cartridge shavers: it's a thick cream and clogs cartridges like there was no tomorrow. Spread on thick or thin, it always became a bear to clear debris from my cartridges. It made shaving itself take longer, and the retained grime after each shave made the cartridges themselves last shorter. The only performance upside is that I had no cuts or razor burn, but, since I always had to have new cartridges, I can't be sure it wasn't the cart's moisturizing strip and not BB's that helped here.
For wet shavers: the inability to lather makes this a complete non-starter. Nicks, cuts, and razor drag galore. AVOID!!
For anyone looking for a mid-tier shave cream, keep going past this and grab some Proraso. The ample reviews do all the vouching needed. Proraso Shaving Cream 5.2 oz (147 g)

Does a good Job.Dec 08, 2011

What I like:
1. Smell - It stays a while and is pleasant.
2. Container - Burt's tubes are convenient, clean & easy to use. I hate shaving cans, they are messy & difficult to clean up.
3. Shaving - I get a close shave the first time. AND I don't seem to get cuts with it.
4. Cleans easily from my face, razor and the sink. It doesn't "stick" around.
5. Burt's isn't a gel. I like that. Gel is messy, gets between your fingers when you put it on. Gel is a pain to wash off. Burt's is easy.
What could improve:
1. I'd prefer a little more lubricant. Not a lot. But it needs more!
Great ProductJan 15, 2012
By J. Martinez I bought the shave cream on impulse at Target but will consider Amazon for future purchases. A fan of Burt's products and the price point of the shave cream made it worth trying and I'm glad it worked out well. It allowed me to get a close and comfortable shave. Don't expect any lather or a thick cream experience because it does not happen. You should experience a simple and pure experience which is trademark for Bee's products.
Waste of MoneyJan 06, 2012
By Derek This shaving cream is terrible. It doesn't lather so it doesn't protect the face from razor burn. Clearly this product was put on the market without any thought to whether it was actually any good or not. I complained to Burt's Bees about it and all they could say about it is "it's natural". But it doesn't work. "But it's natural".
